Strategic Warfare that Turns the Battle #8

Strategic Warfare that Turns the Battle - #8 - Fighting for a Noble Cause

Encourage morale by turning the situation into an opportunity to build something greater. Prisoners of war are often weak, fearful and intimidated, and they don't have the strength to fight for their freedom. That is why there must be people to pray them free. People that have been set free are grateful. They want to serve and help others get free, too. They want to participate where God is at work, moving in people's lives. People will rally to leaders and those that make them feel that they have an opportunity to fulfill an excellent purpose. Every person wants to feel wanted, needed and useful for a purpose that is greater than just living for themselves. Find ways to offer hope, praise and encourage others to be great team members.

Nehemiah and Ezra were great examples of men that led others by hard work and encouragement. They gathered people that had a mind to work and together formed a great team of workers. They set out to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. Some stood guard as lookouts. Others labored in construction. When the enemy attacked their plans and tried to stop their progress through fear, intimidation and confusion, the leaders positioned people by families all along the work in progress. They came to work with a weapon in one hand and they worked construction with the other. They were determined not to let the enemy gain the upper hand and cause the work to stall. #amindtobuild

Father God,

Thank you for gathering us together with those that have a mind to work for a common goal; people who are like minded and in one accord with us in the Spirit. Draw us together with those that will have our back and stand with us in loyalty to the Lord, to do the work of the Lord. Help us to be diligent to keep our prayer shield up and to pray for one another's families. Position yourself around us as a shield, and let Your favor grant us everything that is needed to carry out the assignments you have for us. Help us to be an encouragement to others, to build people up in their most holy faith, and to let them know they are loved, appreciated and a vital part of Your family. In Jesus name, amen.

"Those who built on the wall, and those who carried burdens, loaded themselves so that with one hand they worked at construction, and with the other held a weapon. Every one of the builders had his sword girded at his side as he built. And the one who sounded the trumpet was beside me. Then I said to the nobles, the rulers, and the rest of the people, “The work is great and extensive, and we are separated far from one another on the wall. Wherever you hear the sound of the trumpet, rally to us there. Our God will fight for us.” Nehemiah 4:17-20
