The better part of this last year has been challenging on many levels. From relational battles to financial crisis’ to health challenges and more, this year has provided a multitude of opportunities to learn, grow and exercise faith. It has literally felt like we were being squeezed to death financially and every which way. Some days it has felt as if the room just had no more oxygen in it. Even my teenage daughter had made comments that she felt like she was being squeezed and it was difficult to breathe at times. All of those things are indicators of a python, constrictor spirit. All of the trials have led us to a new place of humility, trust, acceptance and surrender of the situations beyond our control. Surrender has been the only road to peace of mind in the midst of spiritual, emotional and financial storms.
The most difficult and tiring times are when we do all we know how to do and still seem to hit this invisible force field that blocks answers from being released. A couple of weeks ago, God led both me and my husband to a portion of scripture out of Daniel 10, where Daniel saw a vision he didn’t really understand and had prayed for an answer to explain more of what was to come in the days ahead. I knew God had been speaking about territorial, regional spirits and I was just about to pick up the phone to share some insights with my husband, when he called me. The first thing he started talking about was Daniel chapter 10! We knew that God was confirming His word and to pay attention to those scriptures. The portion of the word reads,
Vs. 10 Suddenly, a hand touched me, which made me tremble on my knees and on the palms of my hands. 11 And he said to me, “O Daniel, man greatly beloved, understand the words that I speak to you, and stand upright, for I have now been sent to you.” While he was speaking this word to me, I stood trembling.
12 Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words. 13 But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me, for I had been left alone there with the kings of Persia. 14 Now I have come to make you understand what will happen to your people in the latter days, for the vision refers to many days yet to come.”
Michael the archangel was sent to deal with the territorial spirits in the heavenly realm that were blocking the answers to Daniel’s prayers. What caught my attention was the fact that the demonic prince was resisting Daniel’s prayers because he was trying to prevent additional revelation from coming to Daniel, in an attempt to block him from being able to pray in the necessary answers. Let’s skip down to verse 20:
20 Then he said, “Do you know why I have come to you? And now I must return to fight with the prince of Persia; and when I have gone forth, indeed the prince of Greece will come. 21 But I will tell you what is noted in the Scripture of Truth. (No one upholds me against these, except Michael your prince.
Michael, the archangel told Daniel that he was there to tell him what was noted in scripture and that angelic assistance was necessary for his breakthrough. Michael had been sent to deliver a message of revelation.
Four or five days ago, I went to bed encouraged, knowing God was getting ready to move a mountain, yet by the same afternoon, I felt such a wave of discouragement come over me that I actually laid down on the couch and just cried for a while. I recognize that is how the enemy works against me, but I was feeling completely exhausted from the ongoing spiritual warfare with no apparent end in sight. My husband got out the guitar and started worshipping, and SUDDENLY, from somewhere deep inside of me arose a powerful surge of holy anger and this feeling, “SATAN, I HATE YOU!” The Holy Spirit got me up and immediately I knew I had fight with the word of God. It’s powerful and effective against the works of the enemy, and angels are dispatched to carry out the assignment of each scripture when we return God’s word to Him. I knew the territorial spirits were Python, Leviathan, Witchcraft, and Offense, and those things were causing many blocks to answered prayer. It was also causing people to be apathetic and lukewarm in their relationship towards God.
I looked up a couple previously posted articles I had written that dealt with those spirits and began to declare the scriptures against those territorial spirits, which I will post below. But first, let me tell you about the most amazing thing that happened a couple of nights ago when God gave me an angelic visitation in a dream!
In the dream, I was in a military office building. Soldiers were lining up, quietly, solemnly preparing to be sent into battle. I saluted one man and walked back into my office. Suddenly, one whole wall disappeared and I was looking out into the dark night sky. A glowing light appeared and an angel asked me, “What ONE thing do you want more than anything?” I said, “One? I can only ask for one thing?” And the angel responded by repeating his previous question. “What ONE thing do you want more than anything else?” I yelled back, “REVELATION!” He said, “Ok, here you go!” Then he proceeded to pull out a super soaker water gun and spray streams of water into my face and mouth. I tried to catch every drop in my mouth, but then He left just as quickly as he appeared. End of dream.
It was the prayers and declarations a couple nights before that released angelic visitation! I know that if it worked for me, it can work for other people, too. We must all seek the words out of God’s mouth more than we desire anything else, and when we do, the revelation for our breakthroughs will manifest. Let me post the scriptures I used to declare defeat over the enemy!
Decree an End to the Spirit of Python
I declare an end to the Python spirit today, in Jesus name, over this geographic region, (the city where I live), over the state of California and over our nation.
I declare Jesus Christ is the stronghold of our family, our city, the people in this geographic region and over our nation.
I command you, Python, to come out of every person you are working in. I loose you off of them now and command you to go where Jesus tells you to go, in Jesus name. (Acts 16:18)
According to the victory Christ secured by the work of the cross, let the spirit of python and all its power be rendered null and void in Jesus name. I bind the spirit of Leviathan and pride working in and through others. Let the influence and voice of divination be silenced. Let the power of witchcraft and the spirit of infirmity be broken now, in Jesus name!
Where there has been constriction, I speak enlargement: over my family members, over this geographic region, and this nation, according to Genesis 28:14 in Jesus name.
Let the wind of the Holy Spirit breathe new life into those that are weary. Let the wind of the Holy Spirit release resurrection power into those that are empty, dry, and without strength. I prophesy to the breath according to Ezekiel 37:9 and say, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Come from the four winds, O breath, and breath on these slain, that they may live.’” I prophesy to the whole house of Israel as I say, “Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves; and bring you into the land of Israel. Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. I will put My Spirit in you and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I am the Lord, have spoken it, and performed it,” says the Lord. (Ezek. 37:12-14.)
Thus says the Lord to His anointed (insert your name) : "I will go before you to make the crooked places straight. I will break in pieces the gates of bronze and cut the bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness and hidden riches of secret places, that you may know that I, the Lord, who call you by your name, am the God of Israel and (insert your name)." (Is. 45:2,3) Lord we agree, that what you did for your anointed servant Cyrus to subdue nations and go before him to loose the armor of kings; to open before him the double doors so that the gates would not be shut, you have done for us. We thank You for breaking through the barriers and leading us beyond the outer gates and through the doors you have for us. In Jesus name, amen.
Scripture to Declare Defeat over Leviathan
According to what You have already done, Lord Jesus, we bind the spirit of pride. "Satan, be bound," in Jesus name. We render the works of the enemy silent, impotent and paralyzed in Jesus name. We ask for You to release the Spirit of Truth and revelation that will unravel the lies, heal what's been hurt make people free. We ask for the Spirit of Grace and Repentance to be released all over the land. Let the Spirit of Liberty and the Spirit of Adoption be released now, in Jesus name.
Father, You said, "For they shall not be ashamed who wait for Me." You asked, "Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the captives of the righteous be delivered?" We say, "YES, LORD!" Today we release the decree against the spirit of pride and Leviathan, and all the works of the enemy.
According to Your word in Isaiah 49:25, "Thus says the Lord:"
"Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible be delivered; for I will contend with him who contends with you, and I will save your children." I will feed those who oppress you with their own flesh, and they shall be drunk with their own blood as with sweet wine. All flesh shall know that I, the Lord, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob."
We declare this is the day the Lord with His severe sword, great and strong, has punished Leviathan the fleeing serpent, Leviathan that twisted serpent, and He has slain the reptile that is in the sea, according to Isaiah 27:1.
We declare this is the day the heads of Leviathan is broken in pieces, according to Ps. 74:14.
We declare Your arrows have pierced the armor of pride and Your hand presses Leviathan down.
We declare the arrogance of the proud has been halted and the haughtiness of the terrible has been brought low, according to Isaiah 13:11.
We declare that those who walk in pride You are able to put down, according to Daniel 4:37.
We declare the pride of man brings him low but the humble in spirit retain honor, according to Prov. 29:23.
We declare the pride of the haughty is brought down according to 2 Sam.22:28.
We declare that those that are hardened in pride are deposed from their kingly thrones and their glory is taken from them, according to Daniel 5:20.
We declare the crown of pride has been removed. We declare the humble are exalted and the exalted are humbled, according to Ezekiel 21:25.
We declare the arrow of the Lord's deliverance is released, 2 Kings 13:1.
We declare that You shall save Your flock, according to Ezekiel 34:22, and that they shall no longer be a prey.
We declare blessings to the Lord, for He has not given us or our children to be as prey to the enemy; we have escaped as a bird escapes from the fowler's nest; the snare is broken and we have all escaped. We declare help is in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, the name of the Lord, according to Ps. 124:6-8.
We declare the Lord's voice has thundered from heaven, that You have sent out Your arrows and Your lightening bolt to vanquish the enemy. We declare the Lord's rebuke according to 2 Sam. 22:14-16.
We declare the Lord's deliverance according to 2 Sam. 22: 18-20.
We declare the enemy has been destroyed according to 2 Sam. 22:38-41. You have given us the necks of our enemies.
We declare a release of the Spirit of Truth, and that truth is the arrow that will find it's mark.
The answer we have is the prophetic word that releases the voice of God into the earth. He sends out His voice, a mighty voice; the God of Israel is He who gives strength and power to His people. Psalm 68:11 reminds us that when the Lord gives the word, great is the company (an army of people) who proclaim it!! The prophetic voice, released by a company of people will declare God's will into the earth. "Leviathan, today you are defeated," in Jesus name!
Today we declare the prophetic word against the spirit of Leviathan. "Leviathan, your pride has brought you low!"
Prayer to Break Demonic Strongholds:
In the name and authority of the Lord Jesus Christ, “Let every name by which demonic spirits are known, including Satan in every form and by every name, be bound and rendered powerless, silenced, impotent and paralyzed now in Jesus name.” I command them to yield and submit to the name that is above them, the name of El Elyon, the MOST HIGH GOD, and the name that has already defeated them; the name of Jesus Christ.
For it is written in Philippians 2:10,11 that "Every knee shall bow, of things of heaven,and things in earth, and things under the earth; and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of the Father."
In every place where a binding spell has been cast over Your people, O God, I command demonic powers to be broken now in Jesus name. For it is written, Father, in Your book of the law in Leviticus 19:31 where You said, “Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I [am] the LORD your God.” It is also written in Luke 4:8, “Get thee behind me Satan, for it is written thou shall worship the Lord thy God and Him only shall thy serve.” It is also written in 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power, love and self-control.’
Let all binding curses, and curses sent to hinder, halt, disrupt and destroy justice and righteousness be broken now in the name of Jesus Christ. Let the Spirit of Liberty be released upon Your people and those You are calling into the kingdom of God to set them free.
I break the power of all mind blinding spirits in Jesus name. I command all spirits of Chaos, Disorder, Fear, Control, Manipulation, Pride, Rebellion, Lying Spirits, Divination, the anti-Christ Spirit, the Perverse Spirit, and the Spirit of Whoredoms to be bound, paralyzed, rendered impotent and silenced now in the name and authority of the Lord Jesus Christ. Release Your angels, O God, to carry those demonic princes to the abyss and chain them there, awaiting their day of judgment.
I release the name of El Shaddai and Jehovah Nissi over the region where I live. I declare that we Your people are victorious over all the power of the enemy in whatever form or fashion it tries to manifest, in Jesus name. For it is written in Isaiah 40:29 that You give strength to the weary, and again in Isaiah 41:10 it is written,
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Finally, a prayer to heal broken hearts, lives and relationships:
Father,
I want to be free and healed. I do not want bitter memories to prevent me from walking into a blessed future. I surrender every lie, every bit of deception, every hurt and bad memory to You. I surrender the shame, rejection, self-hatred, self-pity, the feelings of condemnation, guilt, and blame that I have turned inwardly onto myself, as well as those thoughts and feelings of judgment that I have placed upon others. I choose to forgive those that have hurt me (insert names where possible) and I ask that You forgive them too. Heal their areas of brokenness. I receive by faith that You sent Your Son to die for my sins and that Jesus paid the price for my victory. I thank You that as I have chosen to forgive others, I can receive Your forgiveness for my sins. I ask Your forgiveness for others in my family line that failed to acknowledge Your Lordship and receive the offer of salvation for their own life. Lord, please cut off every generational sin. Please pull down every stronghold in my thinking that is based upon a false belief system, controlled by fear, insecurity or inferiority and held in place by the lies of the enemy. I renounce every lie and every agreement that I have made with the enemy. I renounce all lying, deceiving spirits, all spirits of anger, unforgiveness, bitterness, jealousy, resentment, and vengeance. I renounce all spirits of double-mindedness and unbelief. I repent for entertaining the wrong ideas, assumptions and belief system. I renounce the seed of every lie that I have taken into my spirit, Holy Spirit, please visit me with your salvation and healing to my mind and emotions. Lead me into the truth that will unravel the lies and set me free. Fill me with the fullness of Your Spirit, which is wholeness, healing, life, light, and purity. Fill me with pure love that will wash away the pain and hurt. Please transform my thoughts and belief system to form new, healthy thoughts that are void of pain, mistrust, anger, unforgiveness, insecurity and inferiority. May my responses demonstrate self-control, love, peace and joy. Thank you for the victory and for realigning my future to walk into the newness of what You have for me this day. Now, I pray, let what has been broken be supernaturally healed and restored, In Jesus' name, Amen.
