Friend, are you struggling in a long, dry season where you feel like giving up hope? Do you feel frustrated with the waiting and don't understand the process, or the point of it all? God is working out the details in whatever situation(s) concern you, I promise. He hasn't forgotten you and He hasn't given up on you!

It takes time to set things in order. It takes time to get through to men's hearts and convict them to get on board with His plans. It takes time to move one chess piece on the board to another place. God is a very shrew and deliberate thinker. I would like to offer some additional insight that may be helpful.

In a dream I saw an old church where the floor was slanted at a steep incline. It was hard to balance on it. I also saw God cleaning out cupboards and getting rid of old wine. Both are significant in that He has to empty us and strip us of the old before we can be ready for where the church is headed. In short, what God is doing is an upgrade.

The definition of an upgrade is to raise something to a higher standard, to improve equipment or machinery by adding or replacing components. Those improvements modernize and update the particular thing under construction. I remember hearing a story of a navy warship undergoing an upgrade. It had to be stripped down in order to refit it with new technological advances and upgrade its weaponry in order to expand it's ability for offensive and defensive capabilities. This is essentially what God does with us at the end of each season. So, don't fret if things aren't coming together just yet; they will, but you NEED the upgrade.

I think for many people what they might not understand, is that the long process of waiting involves emptying. God is getting rid of the old wine from the previous season. Remember the wedding of Cana where they ran out of wine? The jars were empty and dry. Jesus turned what was ordinary and powerless into something supernatural that brought joy. The joy of the Lord is our strength! God has to empty out the old in order to make room for a new anointing. It is going to require a greater strength in this next season, and a fresh anointing because the battles will be bigger.

When we take possession of the land we come against giants that we are not used to battling. Be patient, warriors. God is working in your situation whether you can see it or not. Ask Him to fill you with fresh strength. "But You have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil." Ps. 92:10

Reigning as Royalty

Does a king lose his authority when he feels depressed? Does a king lose his authority when life gets difficult? Does a king lose his authority when people say unkind things about him, or he gets hit with unexpected problems?

Of course not. A king's authority is not relative to any of those things. His authority is given to him by a higher authority. It is dependent upon his position to that higher authority. When you are born into royalty, you are raised to know who you are, the importance of protocol and how royals act in every situation - and, royals are trained to be rulers from a very young age. They grow up knowing quite well the power of a king's word. It is the highest law in the land and cannot be altered at whim. The king's word stands.

Kings issue decrees and declarations; the voice of a king is powerful! They use their voice to make decrees that command change. They expect their word to be carried out by those given the task to watch over that decree to insure it is legally implemented. A king uses declarations and decrees to legislate, for a king's word becomes law.

God has made us to be a kingdom of priests (intercessors) AND kings. Growing up in Christ means that we make the switch from 'asking prayer,' as our continuous norm, and shift into 'declarative' legislation, taking our place as royal rulers, and declaring God's will into the earthly realm. Decrees utilize the word of God for that is His book of the law. Every scripture, used in accordance with His will, has spiritual laws attached to them that will cause things to shift in the spiritual and natural realms. They do not return void without prospering in the very purpose for which those words were written, and God watches over His word to perform it. When we make kingly decrees and return His word to Him, both Holy Spirit and angels are released to carry out the enforcement of God's word, and ours. We are His kings; royal rulers endowed with authority to implement change and enforce the laws of the kingdom.

Next time you feel weak, frustrated, depressed or rejected, remember who you are. You are a king, and the authority that has been given to you is not based on how you feel at any given moment. The authority is based on whose name is in you, whose life is in you. The authority is given to you based on your ability to submit and surrender to the higher authority of God's Holy Spirit. When you truly belong to Him, you will not make careless decrees from your own will; you speak with purpose and with great care, knowing full well the power behind your words. Speak with good purpose. Demonstrate integrity. Represent your King with the respect and honor that depicts good character, and the glory that you give Him will reflect back into your own life as one that rules with wisdom, grace and authority suited to royal leadership. YOU are a king!

God Is Crushing The Power of False Hope Under Your Feet!

God is going to crush the power of false hope! The enemy seems to be using the strategy of offering opportunities and then causing those opportunities to be withheld or taken away. The result: deep disappointment and crushed emotions.

Beware of the enemy leading you with false hope and empty promises.

Beware of the enemy looking for opportunity to offer you something then crush your hope, faith and emotions.

God doesn’t dangle a carrot in front of you then leave you hanging or just shut the door. If this has recently occurred in your life then you know that the enemy found something to exploit in those he used to injure your faith and cause disappointment. THANK GOD that door didn’t open!!

The best thing you can pray when any opportunity arises is to ask the Lord if the door is from Him, and if it is, give you the grace to go through it. If it is not, ask Him to shut the door immediately. If you’ve been disappointed by some situation recently, put a blessing on it. Act graciously. You may even need to write a letter or thank someone for the opportunity that never happened. Maybe they don’t really deserve your thanks, but don’t give the enemy any ground. The door that didn’t open in this season might be one that opens down the road.

Satan knows that it takes expectancy in order to receive from the Lord, so he is doing all he can to rob people of their blessings by robbing them of expectancy. Expectancy comes from faith towards God, but if the enemy can find ways to cruelly rob us of our expectancy, then our faith takes a huge hit. Often we cry out, “God, how could you have let that happen? I thought that opportunity was from you!” It’s the enemy that attempts to turn us into accusers towards God, so be very mindful of your words when you are dealing with disappointment.

There will always be the enemy’s counterfeit offers before the real door is made known. The great news is, the real door is closer than you may realize and it will be worth the trouble you’ve gone through! God saves the best for last and His blessing adds no sorrow to it. That’s your promise! So let your heart be encouraged today and just tell the enemy, I’ve got my groove back and there is nothing you can do to stop it now! My hope will not be cut off, in Jesus name. I KNOW God has something wonderful for me or you wouldn’t have tried to crush my hope, and the God of Peace will soon crush you under my feet!! Friend, your feet are blessed and anointed to crush the desire of the enemy. False hope is under your feet!

Strategic Intercession that Wins the Battle

Prayer is a powerful and effective element in any situation. General George S. Patton was known to be a man that believed in calling on the power of Almighty God, both in his personal life as well as on the battlefield.

You may have heard the story of the infamous Third Army Prayer that was used on December 8th, 1944 in the battle of Bastogne. Patton understood that there was a need to ask for God's assistance to change the weather element in their favor so that the troops could advance against the German army. And so, he called for a man that could locate such a prayer. Msgr. James H. O'Neill. Msgr. O'Neill, however, could not locate the exact type of prayer needed for the situation at hand, and so he wrote one himself. What a brilliant, yet simple prayer. It is obvious that God himself guided Patton's thoughts and request, as well as the words penned by this instrument of warfare (O'Neill). God used O'Neill's thoughts and prayer to become a weapon in His hand for the need at hand. This is the power of God at work in human affairs to bring about the turn of events that allowed our troops to send in much-needed food, supplies and weaponry to ground forces. The deadlock between the two sides was broken and the official end of the Battle of Bastogne occurred several weeks later. (see

Msgr. O'Neill's account of the story is thought provoking and inspiring, to say the least. Read it the full account here:

I dare say that if the power of prayer was brought back into our military forces as it was in Patton's day, there would not be many of the situations confronting our nation today. Patton didn't mess around. Neither should we. Warfare, whether spiritual or natural, still creates casualties and takes prisoners of war. The enemy is not intimidated by those who rely on their own strength and natural wisdom for he knows that spiritually they cannot discern what comes from the Prince of the power of the air. In which case, they are certainly defeated even before they begin to fight.

The only thing that creates fear and intimidation in an enemy is to call on power that is greater than ourselves. That is why we see ISIS or ISIL, constantly turning to the power of prayer. They call on their god, and their invocations release the power of evil to help them gain the upper hand against their enemies. It is the power of our prayers that will ultimately convince our enemies, and when a show of force is demonstrated, which God is superior. Is it any wonder that Christians are persecuted more and more - an attempt to silence the voice of our prayers -  when there is an agenda of forced conversion to the Muslim faith? Is it a light thing to have history re-written before our eyes and Christianity removed from our schools, while our children are introduced more and more to the Muslim faith? Is it any coincidence that a Muslim driven agenda has made room for Sharia law in our nation?

Regardless of the type of battle you face, please do not leave it to chance. If you cannot see or discern what the enemy is doing in secret, then you must enlist those that can see into the Spirit. If you cannot determine what the enemy is doing to set ambushes against you, then you need to call out to God to show you the secret things. If you need a prayer to turn the tide of your situation, then call out to God to tell you things you do not know and help you pray exactly what will turn the battle in your favor. But, no matter what you do, I pray that you enlist the power of your benevolent Creator that knows all things from the end to the beginning. He has already written a plan for victory into the situation but if you don't seek Him, you will never know what it is! You must simply call to Him and ask for it. He knows how to give wisdom that outwits the enemy!

The question begs to be asked, "Are we, as a nation of people, equally committed to calling on the name of Jesus Christ to intervene on our behalf? When we turn to Christ and direct our prayers to our Almighty Father for His intervention in every circumstance, that is what wins the battle. It is not to leave the battles to chance, but to incorporate our very best strategies, efforts and the invitation for God Himself to turn the battles in our favor.

"Ask Me and I will tell you remarkable secrets of things which you do not know about things to come." Jeremiah 33:3

"...Call on me in the day of trouble and I will deliver you, and you will honor Me." Ps. 50:15

"The king of Israel sent to the place which the man of God had told him, thus he warned him, so that he guarded himself there more than once or twice. Now the heart of the king of Aram was enraged at this thing; and he called his servants and he said to them, 'Will you tell me which of us is for the king of Israel?' One of his servants said, 'No, my king, but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom.'" 2 Kings 6:10-12.

Strategic Warfare that Breaks Through Enemy Lines

Strategic Warfare that Breaks Through Enemy Lines

Turning the tide of the resistance is one thing, but that is not the end. The weariness you've felt is because of the great resistance. Even when the enemy retreats, expect one last push. It's a winner-take-all fight. Get ready for the battle! This is a battle for dominion, and the winner gets to keep the spoils.

In order to invade enemy territory, you have to get him to retreat. Retreat gains you the advantage to thin out enemy forces and putting great strain on their supply and communication lines., but when the enemy seems as if he is retreating then understand that his strategy is to make a run for another attack. His ability to deceive you into thinking he has given up and gone away is often just that: a deception. When you understand how your enemy thinks, you can then ask God for a strategy to outwit his next move. When the enemy uses this tactic against people, this is often the time when siege warfare is implemented. He restricts finances severely. The enemy's goal is to impoverish and cut off everything that is needed for a successful battle. He wears people out with fear and worry, for those things gnaw away at our peace and act as a smokescreen so that we focus on the wrong things. He attacks relationships, separates us from others, and in doing so, cuts off the communication needed in order to advance against him. You cannot rally the troops or share intel with people when communication is cut off, right? This is how we in turn recognize his tactics and pray that is what occurs in the enemy's camp.

**Please remember that we have legitimate enemies. There are terrorists and others that have evil plans against our nation and its citizens. Invasion from foreign armies, namely ISIS, is imminent and we must do all we can to pray for the tables to be turned against evil plots. Every time God takes from one person, or group of people to give to another, it is for the sake of kingdom advancement, to take ground away from the enemy and establish the dominion of the kingdom of God where evil once reigned. Don't be shy about praying what needs to be prayed so that God's troops can advance.**

Father God,

I pray for Your favor on land, in the airwaves and on sea. I pray for Your favor to help us advance against every enemy, adversary and foe, to take dominion away from evil men and advance in order to implement justice for the oppressed. I ask You to dispatch angels to lay siege to enemy supply lines and cut off their communication with one another. I ask You to squeeze, hinder, interrupt and remove the enemy's ability to gather intel, finances, and supplies. Blow up loyalties between allies and separate enemy forces from one another. Thin out enemy forces and cause them to retreat, give up and utterly take themselves out of the battle. Feed the enemy's paranoia by convincing them that those they are fighting are superior in every way and have capabilities that they cannot match. Open the eyes of the blind to see in faith, that those that are with God and His people are more than that are with those that fight against us. Release information that convinces them them they have already lost so that they will not attack. Show Your people what is on the enemy's horizon and help us develop a plan to unravel enemy schemes.

Rally Your people O Lord, and whistle for Your troops to establish a fortified front against enemy assault. Help Your people, O God, to advance into enemy territory and set up outposts. Enable us to recover what has been lost. Help us recover what the enemy has claimed for himself. In Jesus name, amen.

"So David recovered all that the Amalekites had taken, and rescued his two wives. But nothing of theirs was missing, whether small or great, sons or daughters, spoil or anything that they had taken for themselves; David brought it all back..." 1 Sam. 30:17-19.

"So the king appointed a certain officer for her (the Shunammite woman) saying, "Restore all that was hers, and all the proceeds of the field from the day that she left until now." 2 Kings 8:6

"For the Lord had caused the army of the Arameans to hear a sound of chariots and a sound of horses, even the sound of a great army, so that they said to one another, "Behold, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of the Egyptians, to come upon us. Therefore, they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents and their horses and their donkeys, even the camp just as it was and fled for their life." 2 Kings 7:6,7

Strategic Warfare that Turns the Battle #8

Strategic Warfare that Turns the Battle - #8 - Fighting for a Noble Cause

Encourage morale by turning the situation into an opportunity to build something greater. Prisoners of war are often weak, fearful and intimidated, and they don't have the strength to fight for their freedom. That is why there must be people to pray them free. People that have been set free are grateful. They want to serve and help others get free, too. They want to participate where God is at work, moving in people's lives. People will rally to leaders and those that make them feel that they have an opportunity to fulfill an excellent purpose. Every person wants to feel wanted, needed and useful for a purpose that is greater than just living for themselves. Find ways to offer hope, praise and encourage others to be great team members.

Nehemiah and Ezra were great examples of men that led others by hard work and encouragement. They gathered people that had a mind to work and together formed a great team of workers. They set out to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. Some stood guard as lookouts. Others labored in construction. When the enemy attacked their plans and tried to stop their progress through fear, intimidation and confusion, the leaders positioned people by families all along the work in progress. They came to work with a weapon in one hand and they worked construction with the other. They were determined not to let the enemy gain the upper hand and cause the work to stall. #amindtobuild

Father God,

Thank you for gathering us together with those that have a mind to work for a common goal; people who are like minded and in one accord with us in the Spirit. Draw us together with those that will have our back and stand with us in loyalty to the Lord, to do the work of the Lord. Help us to be diligent to keep our prayer shield up and to pray for one another's families. Position yourself around us as a shield, and let Your favor grant us everything that is needed to carry out the assignments you have for us. Help us to be an encouragement to others, to build people up in their most holy faith, and to let them know they are loved, appreciated and a vital part of Your family. In Jesus name, amen.

"Those who built on the wall, and those who carried burdens, loaded themselves so that with one hand they worked at construction, and with the other held a weapon. Every one of the builders had his sword girded at his side as he built. And the one who sounded the trumpet was beside me. Then I said to the nobles, the rulers, and the rest of the people, “The work is great and extensive, and we are separated far from one another on the wall. Wherever you hear the sound of the trumpet, rally to us there. Our God will fight for us.” Nehemiah 4:17-20

Prayer to Heal Eyes and Recover Sight

This is a prayer to heal and restore vision. There can be more than one cause to vision loss, including sin and generational curses, injury, trauma, illness and disease. My suggestion is to cover all your bases in prayer. I have a very thorough prayer to break generational sin and you can get the link on the right side of the home page. It's called the Breakthrough Prayer. This prayer also covers the area of the brain, for the brain function and the eyes are very closely related.

Father God,

I thank You for Your Holy Spirit that gives us wisdom to know what to ask for in prayer. I come to you in the name and authority of Jesus Christ, Your Beloved Son. I first and foremost ask for forgiveness of sins, for myself, my family, and for the sins of my ancestors. I pray that the blood of Jesus would cover the sins of our family line, as well as the person I bring before you now in prayer. Let all generational curses be broken now and their sins forgiven, in Jesus name. I know You are a God of mercy, Lord Jesus, and You are able to heal. I know that whatever you ask from Your Father He will give you. You are the resurrection and the life, Lord, and  I lift up (_________________) ,(be specific) to You right now in prayer.

I ask that You would fill any areas of (his/her) body that may have deficiencies, with the fullness of Your Holy Spirit, for it is written the Lord is our Shepherd and we shall have no lack, according to Ps. 23:1. I specifically speak to the brain, the spinal cord, the nerve conductors, and the eyes.

Let the brain chemicals of seratonin, noradrenalin, norepinephrine, epinephrine, dopamine and all chemicals produced by the brain be correctly balanced. Let every deficiency be filled and every over secretion be reduced to just the right levels for each individual. Let there be no over production of cortisol. Let every amino acid neurotransmitter function with perfect wholeness and soundness as it is in Jesus Christ. Let every gene that has carried defective or mutated DNA that would perpetuate weakness,  compromised health, mental instability or that which carries the result of a curse be healed at the cellular level. Infuse every cell, every gene, every strand of DNA with the DNA and healing of Jesus Christ. Let every curse be broken and sent back to the source, for You, O God, did not give us any DNA that would carry a curse. It came from the evil one, and I command him to take back everything that he has brought into (name the person you are praying for). I pray that any damage to the brain itself, the neurotransmitters, and the centers for impulse control in the cerebral cortex be healed now in Jesus name. Let there be light in every darkened area of the brain, emotions and in their spirit man. I declare the amino acid and peptide neurotransmitters be rewired to function in perfect health and send the proper amounts of chemicals to regulate impulse control, stress management, peace, pleasure and pain management in perfect balance. Let the acytlcholine functions be healed and restored to perfect health. Let the chemical agents and the communication messengers between brain cells function in perfect harmony, balance and soundness in every cell. Let all things in the molecular structure that affect mood, anxiety, appetite, sleep, temperature, heart rate, self-control, discernment, impulse control, aggression, fear, stress management and other physical and psychological appetites, desires and occurrences be healed and restored to the perfect wholeness that exists in Jesus Christ. Let all areas that have been damaged, those areas that are genetically unsound, weak, impaired or afflicted be healed, for it is written, "Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed Him stricken, smitten by God and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement for our peace was upon Him, and by His stripes we are healed," in Is. 53:4, 5. Lord Jesus, You told us, Your disciples, to lay hands on the sick and they would recover, (Mark 16:18). You said in John 14:7 and again in John 14:16 that if we abide in You, we could ask whatever we desire in Your name and Your Father would do it, because it would bring glory to Your name. So I ask that those I have prayed for would be healed in the cellular, molecular level of their genes, in their DNA, and that anything that resides there that is not of Your placement, nor Your will for that person, would be supernaturally removed, replaced with Your fullness and restored to perfect health right now. I command illness and disease to be removed and for their body to be healed in the name and authority of Jesus Christ.

I speak now to the eyes. I command the layers of tissue at the back of the eye to be filled with resurrection life in Jesus name. I command the choroid tissue to be filled with oxygenated blood and nourishment and for the retina to reattach itself to the retinal wall. Let all the veins and capillaries that feed blood to the retina and the retinal wall open up and flow with oxygen rich blood that sustains healthy tissue development. I command all debris in the blood stream and those particles that might be lodged behind the eye to be supernaturally removed now. Let any holes or leaks in the vitreous gel-like substance of the eye be healed. Put a patch over the leak, Lord. Let there be new growth of healthy cells and tissue. If there is any collection of vitreous liquid under the eye, then supernaturally let it be removed and replaced back where it belongs, to provide a proper amount in the appropriate place in the eye. I command all shrinkage and contraction of muscles, tissue, ligaments, and the vitreous substance to cease now and for proper amounts to be maintained for healthy function of the eye, in Jesus name. I speak to the sclera, the cornea, the anterior and posterior chambers, the iris, the lens, the retina and vitreous humor, the rods and cones, the optic nerves and optic disk, the macula and the photoreceptors; I speak healing, restoration and recovery of sight in every area where it has been impaired or lacking. Let the rods and cones be of normal length, size and function. Whatever has been missing, even color cones, let them be restored now. I command all abnormal blind spots, or those that came as a results of injury, illness, trauma, disease or placed there by the enemy to be removed now, in Jesus name. I command all shadows or curtains over the eye to be removed now and for correct vision to be restored.  I command each part of the eye to function as they were designed to function in God’s perfect will. Let every injury, defect or the result of trauma, illness or disease be supernaturally reversed now, in the name and authority of Jesus Christ.

Father God, Lord Jesus, and Holy Spirit, I thank you for hearing my prayer and responding to it quickly. I know that all healing comes from You and I thank you for releasing healing for those I’ve prayed for, in Jesus name, Amen.

Strategic Warfare that Turns the Battle #7

Strategic Warfare that Turns the Battle - #7 Divided they Fall

7. Divided they Fall. If we are not committed to waging war against the enemy then we will never establish unity. The enemy does not want unity; he wants power, control and dominion. Those forces are violently opposed to one another. Appearances of being on the same side are just that: appearance, for the sake of deception. The enemy is a master of disguise. Enemies take captives, and prisoners of war are held in bondage to the will of the oppressor. They are often spiritually weak, fearful and unsure what to do. That is why God needs warriors to pray them free. Jesus instructed us that we could not plunder the strongman’s house until those in it were divided. The enemy understands the power of unity. That is why he works very hard to cause division everywhere he can. It’s our turn to send disunity into the enemy’s camp so that in doing so it weakens ungodly authority structures. Divided leadership will split the house. In marriage, family, church, politics, or where ever there is division, it causes weak and unstable leadership. Where loyalties are divided, they can be exploited, and weak and unstable leadership can be toppled. Use this understanding to your advantage and pray out what needs to go! This is called calculated disorder. What often seems to be caused by the enemy is actually God using the enemy in a very strategic manner. The process of tearing things apart sets the captives free. Compromise with the enemy is not an option! The disorder is just a set up for something new. Don't let it cause fear. Chaos always precedes order. Divide Satan's house then prophetically declare God’s order and divine authority to be set in place. Remember, however, not to gloat when an opponent falls. Be gracious. Humiliating those that are already defeated only creates animosity and sets the stage for a possible return ambush when you least expect it. Turn an enemy into a friend if at all possible. God is the only one that can treat an enemy graciously while at the same time humiliating him and letting him know he is defeated. (Read 2 Kings 6:18-23). #Calculateddisorder, #dividethehouse,

Father God,

I take authority over the strongman of Lust, Control and Witchcraft. May they be bound and rendered powerless, impotent and silenced in every place that concerns me and my future. I release the Spirit of Humility, Peace and Purity over every place You have called me to rule and have influence. I pray for Your strategic intervention everywhere You desire to set Your people in place. I ask you to send the right situations that will create calculated disorder to weed out, pluck up and remove ungodly authority. Create enmity where it’s needed in order to divide loyalties and separate the wicked from the righteous, those that serve their own agenda from those that desire to serve Yours. Pull out those that the enemy will use for hindering the plans and purposes of God, and remove the opportunists, those resistant to change, and those that lust for power, position and preeminence. Set in place those that You have chosen, tested and approved for promotion. Establish godly leadership that will submit to Your will and allow Your kingdom plans and purposes to prevail. Let the Spirit of Unity release the anointing that brings great fruitfulness and peace, to Your glory. In Jesus name, Amen.

"If Satan has risen up against himself and is divided, he cannot stand, but he is finished! "But no one can enter the strong man's house and plunder his property unless he first binds the strong man, and then he will plunder his house.” Mark 3:26,27

“Can plunder be taken from warriors, or captives be rescued from the fierce? But this is what the LORD says: "Yes, captives will be taken from warriors, and plunder retrieved from the fierce; I will contend with those who contend with you, and your children I will save.” Isaiah 49:24,25

Strategic Warfare that Turns the Battle #6

Strategic Warfare that Turns the Battle - #6 - Nothing to Lose

6. Nothing to lose. When people feel alone, dejected, disillusioned or hopeless, they will fight harder. In other words, they feel they have nothing to lose. Some will fight for the wrong things because they believe it is their only option. The enemy uses fear, accusation, guilt, shame and bitterness in order to create a sense of hopelessness. This is how he brainwashes people to doing his will. As people's hearts are darkened with unbelief, they give themselves over to believing the lies of the enemy more and more. They lose their will to fight for their freedom. Those people can be convinced to surrender to the will of the enemy and become his puppet. Our job is to create hope and inspire others to fight for a new life and new opportunities for health, life, happiness and success.

Give me Your words that will inspire hope in those that have lost hope and are fighting for the wrong cause. Help me to discern my opponent's Achilles heel; the one thing that can get to their heart and cause them to feel again. I ask for the words of life that will change my opponent’s heart and cause them to regret the path they've taken. I pray that You would touch those that have positioned themselves as adversaries and enemies, and reveal Your will and Your plan for their life. Show them that with You all things are possible. I pray that they would deeply desire their freedom and restoration and it would cause them to change the direction of their life for the better. In Jesus name, Amen.

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11 NIV

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Romans 15:13 NIV

Strategic Warfare that Turns the Battle #5

Strategic Warfare that Turns the Battle -#5 No Fear!

5. No Fear! Don’t let the enemy intimidate you. God is not with the enemy, He is with you; therefore, the enemy is already on a path where he will stumble into his own destruction.
Don’t panic, rather, consider what you are good at and what you have confidence in and focus on that. When you demonstrate confidence, it creates fear in the enemy. The more the enemy becomes paranoid, the more he will plot and scheme to try to do something even more foolish, but it will be his paranoia that will eventually trip him up and cause the enemy to be brought to justice. #refusetobeintimidated

Dear Lord Jesus,

Ride into battle and create fear in the enemy camp. Give those that are on the enemy’s side troubling dreams. Show them, like you did to the Midianites in Gideon’s day, a dream of their opponents defeating them. Show them that You are not on their side fighting ungodly battles with them. Show the enemy that You have delivered them into the hands of Your servants and that there is no way they can win. Demoralize the enemy and cause them to lose hope in their ungodly leader(s). Let them lose hope in themselves and know that they cannot defeat those that have the King of Kings fighting on their behalf. Turn their hearts and loyalties to come over to the Lord’s side, and to act courageous in taking a stand for righteousness. Compel them to do whatever you tell them to do. Let them see themselves surrounded by those they consider their enemies and know they are already conquered. Open the eyes of Your servants to see in faith those that are on the Lord's side are more than those with the enemy. Give us eyes to see angels in our midst so that our fears are silenced. In Jesus name, amen.

“And when Gideon had come, there was a man telling a dream to his companion. He said, “I have had a dream: To my surprise, a loaf of barley bread tumbled into the camp of Midian; it came to a tent and struck it so that it fell and overturned, and the tent collapsed. Then his companion answered and said, “This is nothing else but the sword of Gideon the son of Joash, a man of Israel! Into his hand God has delivered Midian and the whole camp.” Judges 7:13-14 NKJV

Strategic Warfare the Turns the Battle #4

Strategic Warfare that Turns the Battle -#4 - Don't Fight Old Battles

4. Discern whether or not the current battle is a continuation of a former battle or an entirely new one. Learn from past battles but don’t keep fighting them. Fruitless arguments are just that. Old issues and old arguments stem from unresolved offenses. If you've done what you can to resolve them to no avail, then walk away and don't look back. Don't carry the past into the future; get healed and move on! The enemy may try to bait you into an argument that focuses on old issues by doing something to offend you, but don't let your ego pull you into an unnecessary battle.  Staying calm frustrates the enemy. Learn to discern the hook. If there is no new ground to be gained, exit without engaging.

Father God,

I thank You for allowing me to discern the bait that the enemy is using to ‘hook’ me and pull me into a battle. Holy Spirit, put a guard against my lips so that I do not take the bait and engage in a senseless war of words. I give You permission, in advance of any situation that may arise, to change my heart and my responses so that You get the glory. Restrain me so that I do not put my foot or my mouth in a snare. Give me the response You want me to have that secures my victory. In Jesus name, Amen.

“May Your lovingkindnesses also come to me, O LORD, Your salvation according to Your word; So I will have an answer for him who reproaches me, For I trust in Your word.” Psalm 119:42 NIV

“For I will give you words and wisdom that none of your adversaries will be able to resist or contradict.” Luke 21:15 NIV

Strategic Warfare the Turns the Battle #3

Strategic Warfare the Turns the Battle - #3 - The Element of Surprise

3. Do not allow opponents to distract you. You would have no opponents unless something created fear in them. It's the enemy's fear of losing ground. Maintain your objectives, keep to your goals, and don’t be predictable. The ultimate enemy, Satan, knows you quite well. His strategies are always suited to your personality, weaknesses, blind spots, and he banks upon the fact that he can predict your next move(s). Move in a place where he does not feel secure and has no way of knowing where you will be, because that is the place where he has no allies. God, however, often will not disclose His next move even to those on His team, for the sake of using the element of surprise against the enemy.Remember, the first one to disclose their actions reveals their strategy and where they are headed to make their next move. The enemy panics when he cannot figure out what will come next. Beware of spies in your midst. The enemy seeks information and he is always listening. He wants to know what you are doing in order to calculate a well placed strike against you. Loose lips sink ships!

Father God,

Give me wisdom, discernment and the Spirit of Understanding, to know what motivates the heart of others. Restrain my lips from speaking about the things that are only between you and I. Help me to know who is safe to share things with and those that are not. Help me to be unpredictable to the enemy so that he cannot predict my next move, or where You want me to use me in a strategic manner. Get me behind enemy lines without being seen. I speak blindness into the eyes of the enemy and I declare that those Satan might want to use to thwart the plans of God in my life shall be completely unaware of what is going on with me. Draw their attention elsewhere, Lord. Get their focus on something else so that You and I may carry out what You have prepared for us to do. While the enemy is not paying attention, hit him in his blind spot. Send out the weapons out of your treasury that will create fear and confusion in the enemy camp and eliminate his ability to create a strong defense. In Jesus name, Amen.

"No Joshua commanded the people, saying, 'You shall not shout or make any noise with your voice, nor shall a word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I say to you, 'Shout!' 'Then you shall shout.' "

“As the enemy came down toward him, Elisha prayed to the LORD, "Strike this army with blindness." So he struck them with blindness, as Elisha had asked.” 2 Kings 6:18 NIV

Strategic Warfare that Turns the Battle #2

Strategic Warfare that Turns the Battle - #2 - Identify Outside Opponents

2. Help me to identify opponents outside of me. What are my external enemies fighting for, and why? What is their motivation? What lie is the enemy using to drive them to wage war?

Dear Heavenly Father,

Show me how to pray for those that consider themselves opponent or enemies. I ask You, Holy Spirit, to help me pray effective prayers so that together we remove the driving force behind all of their actions. Let the lies that have shaped their perspective and identity be unraveled immediately. I ask Your Holy Spirit to visit them with revelation and get truth behind every barrier that Satan has established in their belief system. Let them have a revelation of Jesus Christ that died for them and the love of God that accepts them even though they may be an enemy of peace. Let every wounded place in their heart and mind be healed with the graciousness and mercy of God. I pray, let the sensitivity to their conscience be restored so that they no longer desire to seek gratification through a desire for vengeance or retaliation through acts of slander, malicious violence and war, in Jesus name. Amen. #identifyoutsideopponents

“Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from the wrath of God through Him. For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. And not only this, but we also exult in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.” Romans 5:9-11.

Strategic Warfare that Turns the Battle

Strategic Warfare that Turns the Battle - A 10 Day Prayer Focus
By Laura Gagnon

Every one of the prayer points that will be posted over the next 10 days are based on military strategies. These strategies have been around for hundreds, if not thousands, of years. There are many more, of course, but these are some that I felt necessary to utilize as a means of turning the tables on the enemy.

The more I examined the strategies, and the more I wrote, it became apparent to me that I was not writing them for just any ‘enemy,’ but more geared towards a serious military invasion. I have tried as much as possible to keep to a balance of love, mercy  and justice while at the same time understanding that we have some very real threats to our nation and its citizens. With that in mind, I give you what I have written in hopes that the enemy’s plans may be extinguished.

1. Identify the opponent within you. Most often, before we can be truly submitted to the Holy Spirit’s authority, we must confront the enemy within. We will not truly understand what it is until God puts His finger on it. He uses certain situations to uncover the lies hidden within our own belief system.

Fear about whether or not God is completely trustworthy, for example. Whether it concerns your reputation, financial need, healing or something else, we all face insecurity about whether or not God will take care of us in situations beyond our own control. We must face our fears of what it means to surrender all. Surrender means giving up total control and allowing ourselves to be led by God’s Holy Spirit, rather than attempting to figure out all the answers, trusting in our own abilities and leading ourselves.  #identifyyouropponent

Dear Heavenly Father,

Open my eyes to understand my own blind spots, insecurities and the enemy hiding within my own soul. What lie is Satan using against me to keep me from completely trusting You? What is the scripture verse that will refute the lie? Holy Spirit, flood me with revelation and peace as You unravel the lie. Lead me into the truth and draw me deeper into the truth that makes me free. In Jesus name, Amen.

“God's way is perfect. All the LORD's promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection.” Psalm 18:30 NLT

Like A Mighty Rushing Wind

I just felt this is a much needed prayer today. Be blessed in Jesus name!

Father God,

I pray that Your Holy Spirit would rise up from within me with great power and rush upon me like a mighty forceful wind that breaks out and spreads like wild fire. Let this resurrection power endow me with a capacity and disposition to act in a manner that far supersedes my previous character and habits. Give me the energy, wisdom and magnanimous character worthy of a royal ruler. Let my mind be disposed to readiness and I pray, keep my Spirit sensitive to the promptings of Holy Spirit. Lead me and guide me into the circumstances You have for me each day, and let me intuitively understand exactly what to do in each moment. Give me eyes to see the signs and confirmation that You provide. Release angels with strategies, wisdom, revelation, breakthrough and other forms of supernatural assistance. Help me to know what the occasion requires that I might know how to follow Your leading. Give me a courageous yet humble Spirit that allows Your leadership and Your Spirit to take over that Christ might be glorified in the earth. In Jesus name, amen.

Whipping Post

It never feels good to be someone else’s whipping post. Many people realize exactly just how painful that can be when they find themselves on the receiving end of another person’s verbal assault. We see it in the mainstream news, in the entertainment industry, politics, in the church and at home. It's everywhere. Words laced with poison can be just as excruciating emotionally or spiritually as physical blows, and those that wield words as a weapon are often quite skilled at using them.

When a person finally realizes the pain they caused another individual through their own misplaced anger and bitterness, it leaves them with a terrible sense of guilt. The more that God works on my heart, the more I find myself remembering times when I said or did something out of my own pain and bitterness that I would not want to say now that I've gone through healing. I try to make things right now as soon as I know I’ve said something that comes out wrong. I don’t want the enemy to have anything to use to drive wedges into my relationships.

Words have great power and often the negative words are remembered long after they are forgotten by the one who spoke them. Those things set up barriers between hearts and make for invisible walls between us and others, whether we realize they are there or not. Sometimes those walls are suspicion, offense or guardedness because we aren’t sure if the other person can be trusted. Every wall is the result of a spirit of fear. Think on that for a moment. If we are not fearful of being judged or rejected by others, then we will trust them and be ourselves. We will know that our acceptance is based in love and not on performance. Trust is earned. Respect is earned. But love can only be given from the heart. It can't be forced. Loving others makes us vulnerable, and it makes them vulnerable to us, too. Are you willing to be vulnerable? Do you value trustworthiness in others? Then make sure to present yourself as one who can genuinely be trusted. It takes a focused effort to tear down those walls. The question we are faced with is, “Do we value the people in our life enough to confront those walls and make sure they are torn down?”

One thing I know is, it often takes time for God to get through to people to show them the error of their ways. Painful as it may be, some lessons need to boomerang back home and serve as a wake up call to ‘judge not' before the lesson is learned. (Matthew 7:1) Perhaps everyone has at one time or another blamed someone else for their pain and used them as their whipping post. But, what we may not understand at the time we are being lashed is that those things do require a response from us. Jesus told us to bless those that persecute us and pray for those that mistreat you, (Luke 6:28).

Let me just insert a brief testimony or two. There were a couple times in the past when (at two different times on two different jobs) men rose up to come against my husband. Both times it was people for no apparent reason that just opposed Norm. It was unprovoked and unwarranted. Both times we prayed for those men and prayed blessings upon the employers as well. The first man, unfortunately, had a tragic accident one week after trying to get my husband fired and died instantly. The second man was also removed through a string of events that ultimately left him without employment, but not before he also had a series of accidents and problems that caused a great deal of turmoil for him. Now, we only prayed for God to bless them, but those men were opposed to the Spirit of Christ in us, so they did not receive the blessing. Friend, let me tell you, you don't have to worry about people that come against you. God will take care of them if you do what the scriptures tell you to do.

Listening to the wrong voices will cause us to believe things we shouldn't. We've all been there. Unleashed anger on someone undeserving of it. Said things we never should have said. Until you know what voices someone else has been listening to, you don't know how to understand them. You won't have compassion on them and you won't know how to pray for them. All you'll know is the hurt and anger from becoming their whipping post. When people lash out, the often blame others for what they feel internally:

Rejection, Fear, Embarrassment, Shame, Failure, Unacceptance and Unworthiness.

The result of those negative emotions then manifested in outward behaviors. When people pin their hurts, disappointments, and insecurities on those they feel are responsible for their pain, they will use their words to whip them. When opportunities arise, when both God and Satan test us to see what is in our heart, we must be careful not to chose to speak evil. There have been times, yes. We listened to the whispers of the enemy, and when we did, we spoke derogatory things with a malicious spirit because we could not stop the poison from leaking out of our hearts and out of our mouths. We wanted others to feel the pain we felt. We wanted them to feel as helpless or as hopeless as we did. We wanted them to feel intimidated by our wrath because we couldn’t seem to control them the way we desired. We couldn’t seem to punish them quite enough to our satisfaction because lust is never satisfied. We wanted their chances at promotion to be ruined because we felt that ours was out of reach, so we pulled every sin and weakness out of our memory banks and became the accuser. The voice in our own head that accused us, uses our mouth to accuse others, and we felt justified. We wanted others to reject the bane of our existence, for we felt that those particular people were ultimately responsible for our misery and unhappiness. After all, why should our nemesis enjoy the very things we deeply desire, yet cannot obtain? Do we not have a right to tell the world all the reasons why they irritate us and why we despise them so? If we are honest with ourselves, we must own the fact that our hearts were too small. We failed at love. Perhaps still. There were times when we wanted certain people to feel unaccepted by others because internally that is how the lie registered in our own heart. We felt a sense of rejection and then turned and projected it onto others. We wanted others to feel insecure about their future because that is how we felt about ourselves. We wanted them to know they didn’t deserve to be blessed, they were not forgiven because somewhere in our own heart our conscience testified that our own sin had not be forgiven. We must forgive before we can be forgiven by our Heavenly Father. We were jealous for the blessings others possessed. We felt it unjust. WHY were we not as blessed? Why? We wanted others to feel the brunt of our offense because we wanted them to know how deeply we blamed them for all of our pain. Whether it was the reality or not, that was our perception of the truth, and the version the enemy had written was allowed to become the story that prevailed. Satan’s lie became our truth, and every lie we accepted became a part of a twisted belief system. We could not accept a different version of the truth at that time. And so, we let it all out, and like the Pandora’s box it was, trouble followed. Death crept in like a silent fog at night. The pain that was unleashed through the toxic runoff seeped into every nook and cranny, permeating the floorboards, trickling down into the foundation and spread mold and mildew in unseen places, because that is what bitterness does. Bitterness desensitizes the heart, the mind, and the conscience, acting like spiritual leprosy. But, like leprosy, it continues to spread and eventually produces death. It will take over the entire house.

Our words carry the power of either life or death, and death should not feel at home in us. Never! Nothing with death attached to it should feel welcome. No one wants to dwell where maggots and worms feel comfortable. Yet, in far too many spiritual houses, the curse remains and the home owner is oblivious to the silent killer that dwells among them. Bitterness of course, is a murderer. The only thing it can do is to kill, steal and destroy because it originates from the Destroyer. When the one who brought the curse is allowed to remain, the curse remains as well. Barrenness, miscarriage, poverty, mysterious health issues and disease, broken relationships that cannot heal, to name a few. Fruitfulness, joy, increase, blessing and abundant life are kept at bay. Why? Because sins of the mouth have kept it away. Murdering others with our words is not a light thing, no matter how much one may feel justified.  A bitter root always produces death in some form.

We must cast out the enemy that scoffs at us, despises the Spirit of Christ, mocks God, and tempts us to continue to embrace the lies. That belittling spirit must go! Lies that tell us to blame others for our unhappiness. Lies that tell us that we are unaccepted, unloved or unworthy. Lies that project our pain onto someone else. Lies that tell us that someone else is responsible for our blessings being withheld. LIES!

We must own what we’ve said and done to open the door to the curse. We must own our own false belief system and acknowledge we have believed the lies of the enemy. We’ve let him shape us into something we’re not, and he’s used our mouth in unbecoming ways. We must repent in order for the curse to be broken and the blessings find their way back into our life. This is the only way to shut the mouth of the accuser and stop the mouth of those that speak those lies. We have to stop repeating them to ourselves and spewing them out to others!

When we’ve whipped another in our anger, we’ve done it to Jesus, too, for the scripture tells us that the way we treat others is a direct reflection of how we treat Him as well. There is a principle there that cannot be ignored. Yet, in the parable of Matthew 25, as Jesus taught the people he used an example of either doing good works or a failure to treat others well. When they questioned Jesus as to when they treated him unjustly, this is how He responded.

"The King will answer and say to them, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.' – Matthew 25:40

This must be the sword that pierces our own heart. We’ve done it to the Lord without knowing that’s what we were doing. The truth is, we all blow it from time to time. We let our emotions get the better of us. Sometimes it takes a certain type of stress factor (you might call it a ‘hot button’) to cause an emotional outburst, whether the response is carefully well planned or the result of spontaneous combustion, but how a person handles their emotions will reveal what’s really in their heart. If we have willfully or spitefully injured someone else (and that includes their reputation) then we also have a responsibility to make it right. Even if someone has intentionally done something that caused us pain, two wrongs do not make a right. Verbally degrading others, deliberately sharing their weaknesses and failures in an attempt at hindering their future prospects of acceptance with others, promotions or blessing – no matter how one may argue that it’s justified – comes from anger. God does not reward spite.

It's so important for us to discern the voice that tries to influence our behaviors. There is a root of bitterness in the land and the enemy speaks to us from that voice. The voice of bitterness encourages us to side with self-pity and make others our scapegoat. The voice of bitterness promotes division, anger and war. The voice of bitterness wants others to take up the offenses of others and take them as their own. The voice of bitterness looks for ways to judge and criticize others. The voice of bitterness blames others for our pain, disappointment and injustices and looks for opportunities to retaliate. The voice of bitterness echos a chorus of complaints and has become the new fad. It really is like a new addiction. Look at what bitterness has done in the recent riots and protests. Bitterness is a plague that must be stopped. The enemy's voice can only ever perpetuate death and destruction because Satan is a destroyer. If you hear a voice whispered into your ears, compelling you to embrace your anger, embrace your rage and act without thought of consequence, it is not the voice of God. It is the voice of the prince of the airwaves, and he must be silenced! Only mercy can silence the accuser. Only forgiveness can silence the agony of bitterness. Only love can repair what has been damaged.

I have a dream.
I want our children and families restored.
I want healing between the racial divide.
I want forgiveness to flow and for people to rise up to a higher standard. Indifference and bitterness should not be accepted as our new standard no matter what the world tells us we are 'entitled to.'
I want America back. The America that we once were, when we remembered how to be kind to one another.

We are judged according to the law of love. When someone asked Jesus the question,“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?” Jesus said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.” Matthew 22:36-40.

When people fail to trust God they will attempt to take control of situations that are not theirs to control. They attempt to take justice into their own hands. God is a God of justice and he reminds us in His word that vengeance belongs to Him alone. He will mete out justice that is fair and compensatory for the injury sustained, if He feels it is warranted. Using others as a whipping post or blaming them for our unhappiness is a wrong perspective and leaves us guilty before God. It is to place all responsibility for our satisfaction and fulfillment in life upon others. Essentially, that is a form of odd idolatry that ought to be renounced even if we didn’t realize that’s what we were doing. The right perspective is to take responsibility for our own heart issues and take them to Jesus for Him to teach us where we have gone astray in our beliefs. We must not be afraid for God to scrutinize our heart and deal with us honestly, for He will certainly do so with or without our permission! The question is whether or not we are willing to grow up spiritually and own the darkness within so that we can be rid of it. Jealousy, resentment, slander or a desire for some form of vengeance directed towards others will not position us for restoration, promotion, increase or blessing. Forgiveness does. A guilty conscience cannot be cleansed without confession and repentance. There can be no forgiveness of sin without a genuine change of heart. God knows and the enemy knows when we feign repentance without a sincere change of heart! Until people bear fruits worthy of repentance the blessing and restoration of God that they ultimately desire will remain out of reach. This is how the curse is broken. Jesus became our whipping post so that in that demonstration of merciless cruelty, mankind would come to know the power of the love that never fails. As we become more and more like Him, we too, learn to love others better. We learn the power of forgiveness and awaken to a deeper understanding of what unconditional love really means. Really loving others means working through the emotional part of offense, until we can break through the feeling of resistance that wants to keep us from genuine forgiveness and loving again. Just as if there had not been a break in the relationship. God’s love can fuse the broken back together again in such a way that the place where the relationship broke is actually stronger than it was before. The enemy can no longer use the same type of trickery and deceit among those that are committed to learn from the past and recover what was stolen. This is the love of the cross. It restores what was lost, resurrects the things that have died with resurrection power and gives us fresh hope for a new day. This is the kind of supernatural love that puts every effort of the enemy to an open shame. This is the power of the love that never fails.
